This autumn, Stedelijk Museum Almelo is organizing the duo exhibition ‘Op Goede Voet met de Aarde / On Good Foot with the Earth’ in collaboration with the Natuurhus in Almelo. Two exhibitions with the same theme in which both organizations view this theme from their own specialism. Based on the themes of (idyllic) nature, sustainability/recycling/innovation and water, the Stedelijk Museum Almelo shows the work of artists and designers in which one or more of these themes play a role in their work.

Barbara refers to the serie Coloured Shadows:
I imagine life as living cells clumping together to organize themselves according to form, type and colour, clustering in intertwined patterns. The great mother cells sprout small cells that meander in grouped ways.
